Come back to school for a day and attend the popular Autumn School for Parents on Saturday 20 May at Stellenbosch Waldorf School.

Very often we hear the question, and particularly from fathers, “How do you teach maths in a Waldorf School?”

This event is for you and also for mothers, grandparents and even prospective parents. During this fascinating day we take a look at how the Waldorf approach to mathematics inspires our children every day. Do not feel anxious at all! You will not be asked to solve equations, nor will you be put on the spot. You are invited to hear keynote speakers share their observations and insights around this subject. And then you choose two workshops, from a range of fascinating topics, which meets your interest. Enjoy this exploration maths which will inform you and even surprise and delight you.

Registration is at 08:15, up in the high school and there is childcare available for primary school children. Booking for the event and childcare is essential for preparations. There is a small school fee which covers lunch and teas and most materials we may need. Depending on what workshop you choose, we may ask you to bring some basic maths equipment.

Come and meet other parents, get to know teachers and have the opportunity to go back to the future.
