On the Saturday, 4 December from 10:00, Stellenbosch Waldorf School will hold a celebration signalling the year drawing to a close and the time of Advent, which is a time of preparation for that which is arriving. The word advent means ‘arrival’.
We have experienced a trying year, and through our community coming together, we arrive at a time where we can gather to enjoy the gifts from our children, our teachers and Waldorf education.
From the spirit of the Advent play in primary school, to the quiet mood of walking the Advent Spiral linked to kindergarten, and then witnessing the high school students share aspects of their core experiences, the day has much to offer. Review the year through an array of children’s work and a student photographic exhibition. A special performance of the Class 9, Shakespeare play, concludes a star-filled day.
Come one, come all and mark this time of year. Listen to live music. Enjoy hot pizza for sale by the renowned Ishushu food truck. There will be pancakes steaming from the griddles of class 5 and delicious cookies waiting to be enjoyed, baked by Class 6, and a coffee barista!
Find special gifts at the Golden Lantern Craft Shop or make a candle as a present.
