Subject and Specialised Teaching

Subject and specialist teachers are teachers who offer particular subjects to students both in Primary School and High School and who are additional to either their class guardian or mentor. These teachers lead the students through a rich and varied selection of lessons. Clear writing, lively thinking and good work habits are emphasised.

Examples of Running Lessons in Primary School are:

Afrikaans, Xhosa, Eurythmy, Sport and Games Lesson, Craft.

The Waldorf Curriculum attends to all other subjects in the Main Lesson or with the class teacher.

In High School the Waldorf Curriculum places at its foundation fundamental subjects which are explored in the Main Lessons. After the main lesson, various core subjects are explored in the Running Lessons such as Mathematics, Languages, Art and Crafts.
