Yesterday I was asked for feedback on the last school term.
I could have written about Ruby’s Class 10 Working in the World experience, where she got to spend 2 weeks shadowing people in cool professions, Rachael’s Cl 12 thesis and rockstar presentation, or Lyra’s Cl 3 house building project and food garden which inspired her budding nursery.
But what makes me happy (and to be honest relieved) is that despite the enormous challenges … lockdowns, changing teachers, mother man down, these kids have surfed it all, and emerged happier, stronger and more together than ever before.
I have to say, I really like my kids.
And acknowledge the not small role this perfectly imperfect school has played.
